Michael Thomas received a BS in Theatre Arts at Northwestern University and an MFA in Stage Direction at Humboldt. He studied mime with Etienne Decroux in Paris and performed in Britain, Yugoslavia and Israel.
He has directed productions at Humboldt, Plays-In-Progress, Ferndale Repertory Theatre, and North Coast Repertory Theatre.
Directing credits include Equus, Cat On A Hot Tin Roof, The Dining Room, Agnes of God, Turn of the Screw, The Glass Menagerie, The Bald Soprano, Beware The Man Eating Chicken, The Goat, M. Butterfly and Fat Pig. Acting roles include Robert in Don’t Dress for Dinner, Barnie in Last of the Red Hot Lovers, the Emcee in Cabaret, Molina in Kiss of the Spider Woman, Jake in Jake’s Women and Henry Higgins in My Fair Lady.
Thomas is a former Managing Artistic Director of the North Coast Repertory Theatre.
